.sticky buns.

This is one of my favorite and most memorable breakfast dishes from my childhood. After years of trying, I have FINALLY learned how to (almost) make them as good as my Mom's. They are delicious and pretty easy to make! (And not healthy at all!)

I usually make the biscuits from Bisquick but you can also make your biscuits from scratch. One of the most important things I have learned in making this recipe is to not put too many biscuits in the dish, otherwise they soak up all of the delicious sauce. Usually, I make mine in a glass pie dish with 5-6 biscuits. If you use a larger dish (9"x13"), you can probably fit 8 biscuits.

To make the sauce, microwave 1 stick of butter, 1-1 1/2 cups brown sugar, and 1/2 cup water in the dish. Stir occasionally until the sugar is dissolved into a syrup.  (You can modify as needed depending on what size dish you use, the more sauce, the better!)

Place the biscuits in the sauce and turn them over so both sides are covered with sauce. Bake for 20 minutes at 350*. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve with gooey side of biscuit up with plenty of yummy sauce. ENJOY!

I made heart-shaped biscuits in honor of Valentine's Day this time....
